Today is COD: Modern Warfare 2 day!

oday the world will witness the biggest entertainment launch of all time, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has finally arrived!

After weeks of rumours of delays and following disappointments, developer Infinity Ward managed to stick to its guns and release their biggie on the slated launch date of November 10th. According to some analysts, the 1st week sales of Modern Warfare 2 could total as much as $500 million, a number which equals the total budget of the most expensive movie of all time, James Cameron's Avatar.

What's more, Modern Warfare 2 has already beaten all previous pre order records as reported by retailer GameStop. Folks in the US lined up outside retail stores and even camped for the midnight launch, and many locations are having parties and tournaments to celebrate the launch. There has been some negative buzz regarding the PC version of Modern Warfare 2, but that won't matter much seeing the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game will sell many more copies than their PC counterpart.

And as usual India is late to the party. Gamers, and there are many, were left disappointed when they learned that Modern Warfare 2 will be available in the country only after the 17th.
